Kusudi Village offers two Wazazi Circles at each equinox. Each Circle operates as a seasonal cohort, beginning at a defined entry point so participants move through the work together with structure and focus.
Our groups are designed to help parents move beyond simply reacting to what is happening in the moment. Over the course of the program, you will have space to examine your parenting, better understand your child, and make thoughtful changes that fit the needs and values of your family.
When you join a Wazazi Circle, you’ll receive:
Twelve 75-minute online sessions led by a certified Parent Coach.
Guided teaching and discussion on the foundations of purposeful parenting, child development, and healthy family relationships.
Practical exercises and weekly action steps to help you apply what you are learning at home.
Resources and learning materials that you can continue using throughout and after the program.
Opportunities to ask questions and think through situations that are showing up within your own family.
A consistent community of Black parents learning from one another and moving through the process together.
A structured week-by-week experience that builds understanding over time instead of offering disconnected parenting tips.
The Spring and Fall Equinox Cohorts follow a structured 12 week format designed for depth and steady progression. Cohorts are intentionally small, ranging from 4 to 16 parents to ensure meaningful discussion, individual attention, and accountability in a protected space where real work can happen:

What is a Wazazi Circle?
A Wazazi Circle is a small group of parents who come together to grow with purpose. Through guided discussion, reflection, and practical learning, you will strengthen your approach to parenting while building community with other parents raising children in today’s world.
In a Wazazi Circle, you will:
Build community with other Black parents who are navigating many of the same challenges.
Learn practical parenting skills you can use at home right away.
Reflect on your own parenting patterns, values, and goals.
Better understand your child’s behavior and development through a culturally responsive lens.
Strengthen your confidence in responding with intention rather than reacting in the moment.
Practice habits that help raise capable, responsible, and emotionally healthy Black children into adulthood.
Grow alongside the same group of parents throughout the cohort, creating accountability and lasting relationships.
